Sommersby

The film Sommersby required an establishing shot showing a huge tobacco field ready for harvest. The film was produced off season with foreground tobacco plants brought in to create an exterior set. Matte World Digital's job was to carry the field back into the distance featuring the entire plantation. Through animation, we also created movement to mimic the effect of sunlight reflecting off the blowing leaves in the matte painting.
