Matte World Digital has created
invisible 2D and 3D environments for film, television
and IMAX productions since 1988—visual effects
shots so realistic, you might think they were
filmed on location. The scene may be an exotic
setting, another time period, or an impossible
camera angle, but the finished effect will look
like a real place, photographed with a real camera.
Matte World Digital has worked
on numerous Academy-Award winning productions
including Hugo, The Curious Case of
Benjamin Button, The Golden Compass, Titanic,
and Terminator II. Our innovative approach
to digital design has led to groundbreaking shots
in critically acclaimed films such as David Fincher's
Zodiac and Martin Scorsese's Casino.
In 2009, visual effects supervisor,
Craig Barron, won an Academy Award for our visual
effects in David Fincher's The Curious Case
of Benjamin Button.
